What to Expect at Your Dental Hygiene Appointment
Your dental hygienist will begin by inspecting your mouth, face, and neck. They will then clean off any plaque or tartar buildup and polish your teeth. You may also be offered a fluoride treatment. Fluoride treatments strengthen your teeth and lower the risk of cavities.
Dental Hygiene at Home
Maintaining your dental hygiene at home is another way to take care of your oral health and prevent future dental problems. We recommend brushing your teeth at least twice a day (don’t forget to brush your tongue, too!) and flossing daily. Be sure to eat a healthy, balanced diet to keep your mouth in tip-top shape.
